Description
MIG, Inc. is seeking a creative and enthusiastic parks and recreation planner to join our multi-disciplinary planning and design team in the Portland office. This position will work with our experienced team to produce reports, planning analyses and documents, conduct public outreach, and assist with all facets of the parks and recreation planning process for agencies throughout the Pacific Northwest and the US. Some travel to client and community meetings will be required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to think critically and creatively, work as part of a team, and maintain a sense of humor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field; master’s degree in complementary field preferred.
- One to three years of work experience in the discipline.
Skills
- Strong writing skills.
- Ability to speak in front of groups.
- Desired computer skills include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and GIS.
- Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
