Landscape Designer, Landscape Architect and Urban Planner

Duties
MIG has a near-term, full-time position in our San Diego office for a junior to mid-level landscape designer, landscape architect and/or urban planner with 2-8 years experience. We are looking for an innovative and creative individual to work on a breadth of public and private sector projects throughout Southern California, including downtown infill and revitalization, new community planning, transit-oriented developments, and streetscape and plaza design.  
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess: • A landscape architecture, urban planning, and/or or urban design degree • Solid technical planning and design skills, including knowledge and expertise in the Adobe Suite (i.e. InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator), AutoCAD, GIS, 3D modeling, and freehand sketching • Excellent writing abilities and • Experience with community participation is highly desirable. A viable candidate will have the skills and capacity to address the linkage between the built environment and open space – creating great places for social interaction and human experience – and be able to think critically and creatively; communicate effectively; see their work as a catalyst for innovation and positive change; be flexible and team-oriented; have passion and humor; possess intellectual curiosity; and embrace technology as well as hands-on involvement. Personal organization, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential competencies for this position.
