MIG prepared a downtown area plan that focused on creating a sustainable, healthy and inclusive downtown for Denver, Colorado. With a diverse community of 573,000 citizens and employment in excess of 560,000 individuals, Denver is the transportation, business, entertainment and cultural center for the 2.3 million people of the Denver metropolitan area. The Denver Downtown Area Plan will serve as a tool to help community leaders, elected officials and citizens build upon the downtown area’s assets and guide future development and investment to reflect the community’s vision of a prosperous, walkable, diverse, distinctive and green city center. The plan provides a sound policy basis for city-wide decision-making and strengthening the downtown’s role as the heart of the region.
