Santa Clara Basin Watershed Management Initiative

The Watershed Management Initiative is an effort to coordinate existing regulatory activities for the entire Santa Clara watershed basin to ensure its efficient and cost-effective management through the development of a Watershed Action Plan. MIG facilitated monthly Core Group meetings and provided conflict resolution and mediation, including personal interviews, group surveys, and discussion sessions. The resulting Plan outlined environmental protection programs in several areas and proposed strategies for integrating the programs in each area. In support of the overall effort, MIG produced outreach materials, including posters, fact sheets and a website.
