Letterman Childcare Center Outdoor Learning Environment

MIG developed an innovative new outdoor learning environment at a new childcare center in San Francisco. MIG designed activity areas for three age groups—preschool, toddler and infant—in addition to a gardening area, a common lawn area and pathways for circulation. The infant play area provides a variety of stimuli, such as a grass crawl and a tactile ground plan. The toddler area includes play spaces and activities for playing alone and in small groups, such as a play village and wheeled toy path. The preschool area offers climbing structures and a water channel, among other interactive activities.
