Taipei American School Outdoor Learning Environment

MIG worked with the students, teachers and parents to develop a complex outdoor learning environment to serve over 800 early childhood and elementary school students in Taipei, Taiwan. The environment includes an amphitheater with tea garden, a geologic study area, a tree-house classroom, a Chinese zodiac plaza with a large-scale chess set, a garden and propagation work area, and a multipurpose outdoor classroom with shade. Other learning features include a pond and science area, an aboriginal outdoor classroom, a climbing wall, geometry climbing equipment, a dinosaur fossil dig, an art pavilion, a waterfall and a dragon path.
