City of West Linn Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan

City of West Linn, West Linn, Oregon

With residential housing booming, the City of West Linn needed to find and acquire park land and natural areas while they were available. MIG completed the City’s Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Plan in 1998, identifying future park sites, establishing a community-wide trails and open space network, and recommending a natural area strategy focused on the city’s riverfronts. In 2005, MIG was asked to update the plan because the City had implemented most of the recommendations in it. The update looked at the next phase of implementation, including a greater focus on trails, natural areas, and recreation programs, and was adopted in July 2007.
