Tualatin Facility Visioning
City of Tualatin, Tualatin, Oregon
Beginning in 2002, MIG led the Tualatin Facility Visioning Project to define community needs and priorities for "quality of life" facilities. Tualatin City Council and other groups partnered to get as much input as possible; this approach won a 2003 VIP Planning Award from the Oregon Recreation and Park Association. After residents "voted" for a list of priority facilities projects, they passed an $8 million bond measure. These funds, along with other sources, have made possible an array of projects, from new trails to a larger library to various park improvements.
