Mountain View General Plan Community Visioning Process

The Community Visioning Process was designed to actively engage the community and key stakeholders to articulate a common vision for the city as it began the process of updating its General Plan. To ensure broad input, MIG developed a variety of tools designed to solicit community opinion. To support participation at the grassroots level, MIG developed an outreach tool kit to be used by community members through the city. The kit was available in English, Spanish, Russian and Chinese and was used by more than 30 community groups. MIG developed an interactive project website that includes a visual preference survey and a photo library for residents to upload photos of their preferred community elements.
