MIG prepared the "Parks of the Future" Plan, a strategic roadmap to guide park and facility investment for the next 20 years in the City of Sunnyvale. The Plan includes a needs analysis, general policy guidelines, fiscal analysis, and recommendations for implementation. MIG developed park design guidelines to ensure that parks are accessible, include the proper recreational amenities, and meet maintenance budget limits. MIG also developed a range of recommendations and action items to meet the future parks needs of all Sunnyvale residents. The Plan highlights MIG’s ability to develop innovative parkland strategies in “built-out” communities that have little available land.
