The Valley Children's Zoo at the Oakland Zoo

MIG worked with the Oakland Zoo staff and specialists to develop a master plan and final design for the Oakland Children’s Zoo that combines the Zoo’s eclectic animal collection — from farm animals to lemurs — with children’s play in a series of interpretive settings based on animal behaviors and adaptations. Each exhibit area is devoted to a different animal and its habitat, and includes interactive children’s play with interactive, interpretive elements that help the child relate to the animal in that exhibit.
