Redwood City Fair Oaks Mobility Study

Redwood City Redevelopment Agency, City of Redwood City, California

This Caltrans-funded study addressed critical connectivity issues for a predominantly Spanish-speaking area of Redwood City that lacked essential pedestrian, bicycle and transit infrastructure. MIG and Fehr & Peers partnered to help the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency enhance community mobility. The diverse outreach process included everything from traditional workshops to Spanish-language coffeehouses to festivals, and drew many first-time participants, building trust within the Latino community. The result was a plan that reflected the neighborhood’s unique needs and laid the groundwork for a more connected community.
