The Plan establishes a regional framework to provide equitable services to residents countywide, while meeting the diverse needs of individual communities, including an implementation strategy that provides regional and local parks, resource conservancy areas, water access and destination facilities in three service regions, reflecting the different needs of urban, urban unincorporated and rural areas. MIG’s strategy provides criteria to prioritize the funding of projects, so that improvements are implemented equitably to serve the broadest number of community residents and meet the most pressing countywide needs.
