Pierce County Regional Trails Plan

The Pierce County Regional Trails Plan identifies connections between major destinations throughout the County’s extensive park and recreation system, dense urban areas and rural communities. The Plan focuses on regional trails concept that identifies approximately 280 miles of regional trails across 1,680 sq. miles. In addition, a trail amenities catalog provides consistent guidelines for signage, site furnishings and trailhead features throughout the regional trail system. The guidelines will be used by the County and other agencies to ensure that the regional trail network is consistent, as it is developed by multiple agencies in segments and phases.
