Dorris Ranch Living History Farm Master Plan Update
Willamalane Park and Recreation District, Springfield, Oregon
MIG prepared a Master Plan Update for the 258-acre Dorris Ranch Living History Farm. Management of a full-scale commercial orchard within a public park presents challenges, especially during spraying, harvesting and pruning. To better understand the needs of these unique areas, the MIG Team involved local area experts and conducted extensive public outreach. The resulting Plan balances resource protection efforts with the recreational, educational and special event use that is also critical to the vitality of the park.
