Blue Bridge Natural Gas Pipeline Scenic Impact Assessment

MIG is working with Edge Environmental to map and assess potential impacts to scenic quality by a proposed natural gas pipeline that may traverse the Washington side of the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area. MIG conducted a visibility analysis that determined which parts of the pipeline are potentially the most visible from key viewing areas that are protected under the Scenic Area Management Plan. MIG prepared an initial analysis that included visual simulations from the most impacted view points.
