Ankeny/Burnside Development Framework

MIG prepared a development framework and urban design plan for the Skidmore/Old Town Historic District in downtown Portland, Oregon. The intensive 15-month process included a series of interactive meetings and design charrettes, stakeholder interviews and advisory group meetings. The final Development Framework includes a detailed vision concept for the historic district, including desired land uses, built form, circulation and parking. The plan provides a blueprint to achieve the community’s vision and includes catalytic projects, recommended changes to regulations and guidelines, and preferred funding strategies. MIG worked closely with the client, stakeholders, and the development community to ensure that the plan is useful and implementable.
