Federal Transit Administration Strategic Planning Retreats 2009 and 2010

With a new administration and new commitments to expanding transit in the United States, The Federal Transit Administration called on MIG to help them set priorities for their work ahead. MIG assisted the Federal Transit Administration’s Executive Management Team in developing a five-year Strategic Plan and determining their Annual Performance Plan and strategic initiatives for two consecutive years, with the next session set for mid-2011. MIG developed the meeting design and discussion frameworks, facilitated the retreats using our facilitative leadership and graphic recording techniques, and provided a full summary of each meeting, including draft strategies and actions. The 25 FTA executives unanimously rated the retreat excellent/good, with many indicating it was the best meeting they had ever attended.
