Grant Grove Preservation Treatment Alternatives

MIG, working with a team led by Fletcher Farr Ayotte, partnered with the National Park Service to develop preservation treatment alternatives for Grant Grove in Kings Canyon National Park. Using historic information and photographs as guides, our design team worked closely with NPS staff to develop alternatives that balanced modern visitor needs with the preservation of the area's historic character. In particular our design team proposed elements that would recapture the look and feel of the historic tent cabins and village.
