Towncenter Community Park
City of Santee, Santee/San Diego, California
A design challenge with development of this 35 acre park site was to seamlessly incorporate the existing YMCA aquatic center and existing softball/Little League complex into the greater community park. Additional Phase II amenities include: a lighted four field softball hub complex with stadium seating; batting cages; a central concession building; soccer fields with overlay football fields; two indoor soccer sized arenas; children's play areas; picnic facilities; and an extensive riverside trail loop with overlooks and pedestrian bridge crossings.
