MIG developed and implemented a community outreach and visioning program to support the City of Chula Vista General Plan Update. Using key stakeholder interviews and cross-department meetings with City staff, MIG helped the City map audiences, participants and resources to be employed in their outreach effort. MIG conducted “train the trainer” sessions with City staff, who then trained groups of community and business interest groups and other volunteers in a bilingual “Visioneering” process to gather a wide range of input into the development of the City’s vision. MIG then facilitated and graphically recorded a town-hall-style workshop and information fair to develop the initial City vision to be used in the General Plan.
