Native plantings, community gathering spaces and natural play settings highlight this award-winning community park in Davis, California. MIG created the concept and program for the Mace Ranch Community Park to become a favorite community destination. The park's features include a maze and bog gardens, a children’s play lot, a large meadow with farm equipment relics, a council ring enclosed by poplar trees, a butterfly and hummingbird garden, a gazebo and amphitheater, a picnic area with a shade pavilion, native plantings, bike paths, and a burrowing owl habitat area. The park received a Statewide Award for Excellence in Park Planning and Design from the California Parks and Recreation Society.
