Pajaro Valley Strategic Visioning Process
Action Pajaro Valley, Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties, California
MIG worked with the Action Pajaro Valley organization and Pajaro Valley citizens to implement the visioning process, which includes technical research, GIS mapping, smart growth management scenarios and land use prototypes. Additional community involvement activities included a vision festival, community strategy workshops, bilingual outreach and information materials, and a series of Action Pajaro Valley Advisory Board meetings. As a result of MIG’s work, voters of the City of Watsonville passed Measure U, the “Watsonville Urban Limit Line and Development Timing” ballot initiative.
