Denver Play Master Plan

MIG is working with Denver Parks and Recreation to develop an innovative planning model and comprehensive strategy to create the first citywide play master plan in the country. The Master Plan will guide the creation of a healthy, child-friendly city, looking at all aspects of play environments from streets to parks. The Plan will assess strategies for creating a system of play settings and opportunities that addresses the range, diversity and age differentiation of users across the entire city. This includes providing targeted recommendations for all ages of children: preschoolers; school-aged children; teenagers; and young adults. The result will be a framework for play that defines each setting, type of locations, criteria, and relative cost, as well as a process to select development priorities.
