Angel Island Immigration Station Development Study
National Park Service, San Francisco, California
MIG designed and facilitated a process to create a vision and action plan for restoring a former immigration station and Army barracks into a museum for the West Coast immigration experience. MIG coordinated and conducted a two-day workshop to define and discuss the site's renovation and development. The workshop included a walking tour of the Station site, large group discussions and working sessions. MIG prepared a Visioning Report that detailed the project’s background, the workshop process and a series of next steps for the management, operation, funding and programming of the restored Angel Island Immigration Station. Restoration work is ongoing.
