We are currently seeking full-time, mid to senior level Biologists (4+ years’ experience) to join our California biological resources team in conducting a variety of field surveys and assessments and to prepare biological reports and biological resource sections of environmental documents. We are particularly interested in someone with both field and documentation experience and professional skills associated with jurisdictional waters/wetland delineations, botanical surveys and regional special-status wildlife species. Project work can occur throughout California.  


May be involved with all or a selection of the following, individually or as part of a team:

  • Vegetation mapping and habitat characterization
  • Jurisdictional waters/wetland delineations and regulatory permitting
  • General habitat assessments and surveys for plant and wildlife species
  • Focused surveys for special-status species
  • Construction monitoring and nesting bird surveys
  • GIS analysis and mapping
  • Drone surveys
  • Report preparation for technical biology reports and CEQA/NEPA documents
  • HCP consistency analysis



Candidates must demonstrate independent judgment, personal organization, excellent communications skills, and an ability to make decisions and manage multiple priorities and people. The ideal candidate would have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in biology, ecology, botany or related natural resources field
  • 4+ years’ experience with environmental consulting, natural resource planning and management or related field
  • Experience with plant species identification using a dichotomous key
  • Familiarity with California wetland types and state and federal regulatory permitting processes 
  • Experience with aquatic and terrestrial wildlife species identification and habitat assessment throughout California.
  • Experience with construction monitoring/management and worker environmental awareness training
  • Experience using ArcGIS independently as a problem-solving tool
  • Attention to detail, ability to work independently and strong written and oral communication skills essential
  • Ability to conduct fieldwork in challenging terrain and weather conditions as necessary
