Associate CEQA Analyst

We are seeking a full-time experienced, highly motivated, and dynamic entry- to intermediate-level CEQA Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities

The Associate Analyst will support a Project Manager and/or Principal-In-Charge and will be responsible for various roles in developing and publishing environmental documents, including independent drafting of clear and concise CEQA/NEPA document sections that demonstrate a high level of analytical analysis and understanding, conducting research, assisting in document production, and maintaining project files. 

The position requires effective communication and writing, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, a high level of analytical analysis, technical understanding of CEQA/NEPA topics, strong time management skills, an ability to work within time and budget constraints, exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of organization. 

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year direct experience in CEQA and/or NEPA or related field 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in environmental studies, urban planning, technical writing, or an associated field, working knowledge of CEQA fundamentals 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word and Excel 

Candidates will be evaluated for their qualifications in a comprehensive way, considering strengths in some areas in light of less experience in other topics. A candidate need not have experience in every qualification identified above. The difference between the entry level and intermediate level Associate positions is largely a function of years of consulting experience, knowledge of CEQA, and demonstrated level of responsibility.
