Downtown Boulder Vision Plan Receives Excellence Award

On April 4, the Downtown Boulder Vision Plan was awarded a Colorado Downtown Excellence Award for Best Partnerships in a Large Community. 

MIG served as the consultant on the eight month-long effort led by the Downtown Boulder Partnership to develop a strategic Vision Plan to guide projects and programs over the next 10-20 years. 

 
 
 

TriMet’s TOD Plan Receives Transportation Award

The Women in Transportation’s (WTA) Innovative Transportation Solutions Award honors an individual or company/organization who executes an example-setting innovative transportation project. The Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Plan is TriMet’s TriMet's first, aligning its development goals for housing and other development at its high-capacity station areas.

MIG was the consultant lead—with EcoNorthwest and Fehr & Peers—and provided overall project management, facilitation, GIS analysis, best practices research, and document design and production.

A Block-by-Block Approach to Community Resiliency

Can an entire neighborhood switch to renewable (non-fossil fuel) energy, becoming healthier and more resilient? Residents of a block in East Oakland, California, have been working on a way to do just that: EcoBlock. And MIG is creating a guidebook and toolkit so other communities can transform their own neighborhoods.
