Alissa Rupp (FAIA, LEED AP BD+C) is an award-winning designer of places for informal education and learning, including museums, visitor centers, zoos, aquariums, and public gardens. Her background in child development, museum education, and music contributes to her work as an architect, as she designs and manages projects that provide engaging experiences to children and families around the world. Alissa strives for a seamless blend of art, nature, culture, and play that represents an organization's mission while connecting visitors to the culture and history of a place. She leads multidisciplinary teams in synthesizing the input of all stakeholders, and creates places where people can discover ideas, tell stories, or hone skills through interaction and exploration. Her work promotes sustainability on all levels, respecting the time and financial resources of her clients, as well as the natural resources of the site.
