Frank Angelo watched his hometown of Detroit grow up around him and his curiosity about how and why cities grow led to a respected career helping cities plan for the future so that their residents and businesses thrive. He has over 40 years of experience in public and private sector land use and transportation planning policy and implementation, including building the Angelo Planning Group (APG) into a Pacific Northwest leader, known for excellence and innovation. A key focus for him is developing creative approaches to connecting land use and transportation solutions within an urban environment. Frank believes project success starts with listening carefully to the client and the community—and then finding often unexpected solutions where most might not be looking. He is widely recognized for his ability to bring together diverse interests and different disciplines to collaborate on unique solutions. His planning experience and his in-depth knowledge of the public review process led to solid technical and practical management for a wide variety of projects, including land use analysis, public and stakeholder outreach, comprehensive plans, zoning ordinances, administrative rules and development permitting.
