ReStreets

We are fundamentally rethinking America’s streets. What if streets are designed for living, along with driving? What if they accommodate people of all ages and abilities, in a wide variety of activities, promoting healthy urban living, social interaction, business and regenerating the environment? That’s a “ReStreet.”

You’ll see our philosophy in the projects below. And in MIG’s book, Streets Reconsidered: Inclusive Design for the Public Realm, which explores (with case studies, design guidelines, best practices, illustrations and photos) how our streets can be for living, pushing you beyond current thinking and inspiring you to plan, design and construct streets that benefit everyone.
