Camellia Square
When the City of Temple wanted to increase the restaurant/retail to transform Camellia Square into the City’s newest dining and retail destination, MIG assisted the developer in modifying a highly contested Conditional Use Permit and processed the entitlement approval, building permits, and the Final Map.
The Square’s design includes open-air plazas and seating areas where patrons can dine, relax, and shop. The restaurant and retail spaces contribute to the pedestrian-friendly atmosphere of the center, blending in with the adjacent neighborhoods and the City’s main street downtown area.
Supporting the City’s efforts to promote more sustainable means of travel, Camellia Square is nestled between Las Tunas Drive and Rosemead Boulevard, which are major bus routes. Secure bike racks and long-term bike storage are on-site, offering cyclists peace of mind while they explore the square.
