Healing from the Outside, In
When children are sick, unlocking the stress-reducing and healing power of nature can work wonders for them.
The newly opened children’s garden at the Guerin Children’s wing of the main campus is an outdoor space filled with playful shapes and forms in a garden setting. Set within the garden are three sculptural flowers that capture light and form spaces creating an intimate environment for children to interact with organic playful forms. Surrounding the garden is an undulating enclosure creating a playful rhythm and providing a backdrop to colorful paving and planting elements.
Children and young adults can access all corners of the space and enjoy interacting with others and the site’s features to create an experience that nurtures and supports healing.
The opening of this special garden exemplifies Cedars-Sinai's commitment to the interconnectedness of healing and the campus’s role in the healing process.
